Dr. Richard Lichtenstein is an S. J. Axelrod Collegiate Professor Emeritus of Health Management and Policy at the University of Michigan School of Public Health. He received both his Ph.D. in Medical Care Organization and his M.P.H. from the University of Michigan. Dr. Lichtenstein's primary research interests include: community-based participatory research, racial and ethnic disparities in health, barriers to health insurance coverage for low-income children, the effects of discrimination on access to health care, and efforts to increase diversity among the health care workforce.
