Michael Klinkman, MD, MS

Professor, Family Medicine; Co-Director, Great Lakes Research Into Practice

Dr. Michael Klinkman is a Professor of Family Medicine an the University of Michigan Medical School. He is also a practicing family physician at Briarwood Family Medicine and serves as the first Director of Primary Care Programs for the University of Michigan Depression Center. Dr. Klinkman received his M.D. from the University of Michigan Medical School and his M.S. in Family Medicine from Case Western Research University. He is currently working to create sustainable depression support programs for use in community primary care settings. To accomplish this goal, Dr. Klinkman is working with the Jackson Health Network, a community-based partnership, to develop and test primary care interventions in "real-world" settings.
