Mary Jo Callan is the Director at the Ginsberg Center at the University of Michigan, which serves as an engagement center focused on fostering equitable partnerships between UM and social impact organizations. Specifically, the Ginsberg Center connects and supports UM faculty, staff, and students from across UM to use interests and priorities identified by nonprofits, schools, and local governments to guide research, teaching, and service engagements. Mary Jo’s current research interest focuses on the impacts of university community engagement on community partners. Additional teaching and research interests include equity-based community and economic development strategies, cross-sector partnerships, and leadership development for community change.
