Dr. Kathy Babiak is an Associate Professor of Sport Management and the Co-Director of the Michigan Center for Sport Management based at the University of Michigan School of Kinesiology. Babiak's main line of research focuses on the interorganizational partnerships sport organizations create, such as those in the form of partnerships, sponsorships or philanthropic interactions. Her research also examines the interaction and exchange dynamics involved in managing a diverse network of partners, with the objective to understand what factors are perceived to contribute to more effective relations between organizations.
